Job description

Location: Nyahururu Pearl Hospital is seeking a competent, ethical and results-oriented Procurement and Supply Chain Officer to manage procurement, supplier performance and inventory controls. The successful candidate will ensure the timely availability of quality medicines, medical supplies, equipment and general goods at competitive prices. Key responsibilities Prepare and implement procurement plans. Source quotations, evaluate suppliers and negotiate prices and terms. Procure medicines, laboratory reagents, medical consumables, equipment and general supplies. Monitor stock levels and prevent stock-outs, overstocking, expiries and emergency purchases. Maintain an approved supplier register and evaluate supplier performance. Ensure purchase orders and procurement records are complete, approved and audit-ready. Work with Finance, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Theatre, Nursing and other departments. Prepare monthly reports covering procurement expenditure, savings, stock-outs, supplier performance and outstanding orders. Supervise and develop the Procurement Assistant. Maintain professional, respectful and responsive relationships with staff and suppliers. Minimum requirements Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Commerce or a related field. At least two years of relevant procurement and supply-chain experience. Demonstrable experience in a hospital, pharmacy, laboratory, medical supplier or another regulated healthcare environment. Active KISM membership or eligibility for professional registration. Good knowledge of procurement controls, inventory management and FEFO principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement, ERP or inventory-management systems. Strong negotiation, analytical, communication and record-management skills. High integrity and ability to work independently. Added advantage CPSP-K, CIPS or another recognised procurement qualification. Experience supervising procurement staff. Evidence of delivering measurable savings, reducing stock-outs or improving supplier performance. Performance expectations The successful candidate will be assessed on cost savings, stock availability, procurement turnaround time, reduction of emergency purchases and expiries, supplier performance, inventory accuracy and procurement compliance.

Job Purpose M.P. Shah Hospital is looking to recruit a professional and evidence-driven person for a vacancy in the Information Technology Division, as the Network Administrator. Reporting to the Manager, Systems Security, the overall purpose of the job is to design, modify and plan the network, install and configure it, and monitor and troubleshoot the network infrastructure for the hospital. Duties & Responsibilities Plan, recommend and assist in the design of local or remote computer systems; oversee the day-to-day operation of the computer networks, including LAN-to-LAN and WAN systems; and evaluate system performance and recommend solutions Network device configuration, management and backup - Ensure consistent baseline configurations, manage all network devices, and maintain backups for swift restoration when needed Network security - Configure, manage, back up and monitor network firewalls, network access control and logs, and implement network security policy Provide technical assistance and support to M.P. Shah's users of the Local Area Network, Wide Area Network and the intranet / internet by selecting and installing bridges, routers, switches, hubs and related equipment that support various networking protocols Establish, manage and administer the hospital's ICT security policy and procedures to ensure preventive and recovery strategies are in place, and minimise the risk of internal and external security threats Analyse and resolve network infrastructure issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and hold responsibility for monitoring the performance and availability of key infrastructure components such as the Wide Area Network, LAN and internet Serve as a primary contact with networking service providers and customers, and play a key role in negotiating and developing plans for future services; keep abreast of new hardware or software products for system enhancements Escalate and then coordinate issues and problems to external third-party support, and ensure that all service level agreements (SLAs) for infrastructure support services across the organisation are delivered according to specifications Configure, manage and back up the enterprise wireless network Key Performance Indicators IT support SLA compliance, being the time taken to resolve network and security support issues Number of network performance and capacity issues Updated documentation for internal networks, including branches Network uptime Regular backup, update and maintenance of network devices Qualifications, Regulatory & Legal Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, information communication technology or a related field Cisco professional certification Two years' experience in information technology, with hands-on experience in LAN, WAN and wireless networks
