Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support the recruitment and onboarding of employees. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR files. Handle staff attendance, leave and absence records. Support payroll preparation and verification of staff information. Assist in managing employee relations, grievances and disciplinary matters. Support implementation of HR policies, procedures and company rules. Coordinate staff communication and HR-related notices. Assist with performance management and staff appraisals. Support employee welfare and engagement initiatives. Ensure HR documentation and processes comply with applicable labour requirements. Assist with staff training, induction and other HR activities. Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate HR data. Provide general administrative support to the HR function. REQUIREMENTS Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field. 2 - 4 years of relevant HR experience, preferably within retail, FMCG, hospitality or another fast-paced operational environment. Good understanding of Kenya employment and labour practices. Experience with attendance, leave management, payroll support and employee records. Practical experience handling employee relations and disciplinary processes. Good computer skills, particularly MS Excel and Word; familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems is an added advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism. Ability to work independently, follow up on tasks and meet deadlines. Must be organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with a diverse workforce.
