Financial Controller

Job description

• Lead the full finance function including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and management accounts • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes • Manage cash flow, working capital and liquidity planning across the business • Liaise with banks and financial institutions to secure and manage credit facilities, overdrafts and other funding • Lead engagement with regulatory bodies including KRA on tax compliance, filings and audits • Oversee statutory compliance, internal controls and audit readiness (external and internal) • Partner with the leadership team on commercial decision-making, cost control and profitability improvement • Drive continuous improvement in financial pro

Requirements

• • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• • CPA (K) or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
• • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field
• • Minimum 7–10 years’ progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a Financial Controller / Finance Manager role
• • Strong FMCG or food manufacturing background is essential
• • Proven experience liaising with KRA and managing tax compliance matters
• • Demonstrated ability to engage banks and successfully secure/manage credit facilities and working capital solutions
• • Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls and management reporting
• • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Syspro or similar) and advanced Excel
• • Excellent commercial acumen, leadership and stakeholder management skills
